\u00c9 com grande pesar que a UFRRJ se despede do Engenheiro Agr\u00f4nomo Raphael David dos Santos (21\/04\/1929). Formado em 1952 na Escola Nacional de Agronomia, hoje, Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), ele foi um importante componente da equipe de Ped\u00f3logos e permitiu o conhecimento de Solos do Brasil. Como pesquisador da Embrapa Solos, sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o intelectual foi extremamente relevante, e a gera\u00e7\u00e3o do conhecimento sobre a composi\u00e7\u00e3o e classifica\u00e7\u00e3o dos solos brasileiros constitui base importante do atual desenvolvimento da produ\u00e7\u00e3o e produtividade da agricultura atual. Merece o reconhecimento da classe agron\u00f4mica e de toda a sociedade brasileira e ser reverenciada sua mem\u00f3ria! Este ano, em 10 de dezembro, iria ser homenageado na 62\u00aa Reuni\u00e3o Anual da ADENA, que acontece em nossa Universidade, por ter completado 70 anos de graduado.
